Step-by-step guidance
Who can do this: Growth and above include sites and daily records. Business and Enterprise add quantity tracking and inspections. Your role controls who can record or approve work.
Before you begin
- A civil workspace with an accessible project
- A site, work front and the drawings or survey reference used to locate the work
Steps
- Open Site operations and add a site and work front. Enter an alignment reference and distances in metres when relevant.
- Open Planning and evidence to link the activity, crew, person responsible and working dates. Choose where an inspection is needed before work continues.
- Set the planned quantity and obtain approval before recording completed quantities. A different person approves the plan in Site operations, or in Approvals if an approval process is set up.
- Submit the completed quantity and evidence. Record the inspection for that exact measurement, then accept or reject the work.
- Complete any required inspection checks before starting, finishing or backfilling the work. Keep supporting files and a daily note linked to the related work records.
Expected result
The project retains the approved plan, recorded quantities, inspection decisions and accepted progress with their original evidence.
Next action
Review the latest inspection and alignment revision before releasing the next work-front action.
Common problems
- A failed or missing required inspection blocks acceptance or the configured work action.
- A changed alignment needs new releases. A pass on one measurement does not release another measurement or location.
- Reverse an incorrect accepted measurement with a reason, then submit its replacement. Original evidence stays in the history.
